Daniel Radcliffe To Play Gay Poet Allen Ginsberg In John Krokidas ThrillerAccording to the report, the film is based on actual events. “Kill Your Darlings revolves around the relationships between Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr. Carr, for his part, is credited for connecting Ginsberg, Kerouac and William S. Burroughs but, most notoriously, served time for the 1944 murder of his lover David Kammerer,” the site wrote. Radcliffe will reportedly step into the role after he walks away from his Broadway run in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in January. Glee co-star Darren Criss will take over Radcliffe's role for his Broadway debut.

Last year, James Franco played Ginsberg in the film Howl. The movie looked at the poet's most famous poem, Howl, which became the subject of a landmark obscenity trial that tested the boundaries of the First Amendment. Aaron Tveit played opposite Franco as Peter Orlovsky, Ginsberg's lover.

The Harry Potter star has been cast as the famous poet in the movie, which will revolve around his relationship with Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr, according to Twitch. Carr was a key member of New York's circle of Beat Generation writers in the 1940s and was pals with Ginsberg, Kerouac and William S Burroughs.

He was found guilty of murdering his stalker and alleged lover David Kammerer in 1944. Jesse Eisenberg was originally attached to play Ginsberg when production on the film first started in 2009 with Captain America star Chris Evans slated to star as Kerouac and Skyfall's Ben Whishaw as Carr. It is not known if Evans or Whishaw are still starring in the movie, which will be directed by script writer John Krokidas.

Radcliffe reportedly hinted at the role last week by telling French press that he would very likely be playing a gay character in a film next year. The actor was named Britain's richest young celebrity this week beating Twilight star Robert Pattinson and Keira Knightley.

Daniel Radcliffe beats Robert Pattinson as UK's richest young celeb

The Harry Potter actor, 22, hung on to the top spot in Heat magazine’s 30 Under 30 Rich List, with total earnings of £51.8million. But his place is under threat from Robert Pattinson, 25, who leaped up two places to the third spot with an estimated wealth of £24.9million. The Twilight actor’s rise pushed Radcliffe’s co-stars Emma Watson, 21, and Rupert Grint, 23, into fourth and fifth places respectively.

It was estimated that Radcliffe added £6.1million to his wallet this year  but, with the last of the Harry Potter films released, he could see future earnings tail off. As the Twilight vampire saga continues to empty teenagers’ wallets, with a final instalment due next year, the bloodsuckers could triumph in 2012. The second-richest young celebrity was Keira Knightley, 26, who maintained her position with an estimated wealth of £30.9million.

Soul singer Adele, 23, was the highest new entry at 16, with an estimated wealth of £7.7million, and she was joined by Florence Welch, making her debut at No.29 with £3.8million. Despite her X Factor woes, Cheryl Cole climbed to seventh from 14, with an estimated wealth of £11.4million boosted by the L’Oréal adverts. Fallers included singer Charlotte Church, who fell three places to ten, and Coleen Rooney, who dipped to 15.

Amy Winehouse was one of three stars to disappear from this year’s rich list after her death aged 27 in July. She had been at No.15 with a fortune of £7.8million. Opera star Katherine Jenkins and model Kelly Brook both dropped out after exceeding the 30-year-old age limit. Heat editor Lucie Cave said: ‘Life is brilliant when you’re young, talented, beautiful and phenomenally rich.’

Daniel Radcliffe: 'Don't Shy Away From Your Own Weirdness'

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Daniel Radcliffe has a chat with MTV News about what he’s discovered in his acting abilities. “I think the most vital thing I’ve learned — and this is a thing I have to adapt and be able to find throughout my career, be it onstage or film in comedy or drama — is that the more I try and suppress my own natural oddness, the less successful I am,” Daniel said, “I have a slightly staccato way of moving and talking … the realization hit me that I’m working so hard to try and be something else, and actually, I just have to learn to be my most natural self onstage or onscreen, however that comes across.”Dan also learned this lesson: “Don’t shy away from your own weirdness. Own your oddness.”'

Daniel Radcliffe Sings His Heart Out At The Thanksgiving Day Parade (Watch Video)

Posted in : Gossips, Videos

(added few months ago!)

Daniel Radcliffe sang his heart out at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday, with a selection from his Broadway musical, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," in which he plays a window washer, J. Pierpont Finch, working his way up the corporate ladder. He performs "Brotherhood of Man" here, and dude's got the lungs and the moves to match them.

Radcliffe's run as J. Pierpont comes to a close at the end of December -- it was recently announced that Darren Criss will take over for Radcliffe in early January for a three-week engagement, after which Jonas Brother Nick will step in until July. Radcliffe, meanwhile, is back to finding himself in terrifying situations in the dark horror film "The Woman in Black," where he stars as a young lawyer trying to sell a spooked house.

Daniel Radcliffe guilty for not crying at Harry Potter premiere

Posted in : Gossips, Movies

(added few months ago!)

Daniel Radcliffe guilty for not crying at Harry Potter premiereDaniel Radcliffe admits feeling guilty about not crying at the world premiere of the final Harry Potter film like his co-star Rupert Grint, but insists he was very relieved to bid farewell to the movie franchise. Thousands of fans had gathered to watch Radcliffe, Grint and Emma Watson at London's Leicester Square as the last instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, was unveiled in July.

However, while Grint and Watson broke down in tears on the red carpet, Radcliffe admits that he wasn't so emotional, since he couldn't help but feel glad to be ‘moving on’. "When you're doing these insane press days where you do a few interviews then the red carpet and it's just mad, I have a slight tendency to shut down and go on autopilot just to get through it and not feel completely weirded out by the whole thing,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling MTV.com.

"What was strange to me was, in a way, I felt slightly bad because I wasn't getting upset like everyone else was. “I've seen Rupert Grint cry once, on the last day of filming, when I was also in bits (upset), but I've never seen Rupert get emotional like he did at the premiere.

"I cannot go on enough about how much I loved my time on Potter. It was the most amazing, happy time, but all good things must come to an end. We couldn't have gone on forever. “As much as people wanted us to, it would have been terrible. I'm glad to have done it and gone out on such a high note and now be moving on as we all are," he added.

Posted in : Gossips, Movies

(added few months ago!)

It has been confirmed, that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will be set to star in a movie, in which he has to portray a gay man. The movie is likely to get under way in the new year, with an expected release date, sometime in 2013. Daniel has accepted the fact that everybody will focus on the gay aspect of the movie but insists that there is much more to it than that.

Radcliffe admitted that it was very likely that he will be in the gay movie, adding, "But I will say no more. Many things will be said about the gay thing, but I prefer to say now that this project is much more than that.” He then discussed the fact that he will have to have an on screen kiss with another male actor. He continued, “I'm not sure that I would like it, but I guess I'll find out."

Daniel Radcliffe can next be seen on the big screen, when he appears alongside Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer and Roger Allam, in the James Watkins Horror Thriller, The Woman in Black. The movie is based on the novel by Susan Hill, with the screenplay adapted by Jane Goldman. The Woman in Black is set to be released on February 3, 2012.

Daniel Radcliffe goes backstage with Alan Rickman -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

There was a Hogwarts reunion at Broadway’s Golden Theatre on Nov. 7 when Daniel Radcliffe nipped backstage to congratulate former Harry Potter co-star Rickman on his Main Stem return in Seminar. The actors, who were all smiles in Rickman’s dressing room after the show, are both currently gracing the Great White Way — at least until Radcliffe bows out of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Jan.

1. Radcliffe picked a good date to visit. Thursday evening’s performance of Seminar — the show’s first press night before its Nov. 20 opening — was canceled at the very last minute because Rickman was suffering from an acute respiratory infection. (It’s the first time in the actor’s storied career that he’s ever missed a stage performance.) In Seminar, the 65-year-old star plays a cantankerous literary genius hosting a private seminar for four aspiring novelists in the play and obviously does a lot of talking (as well as spitting out choice insults). A rep for the show tells EW that “we expect to resume performances tonight!”

Daniel Radcliffe's Creepy Post-Harry Potter Flick: Trying to Do Something Totally New

Posted in : Gossips, Movies

(added few months ago!)

Daniel
Radcliffe's Creepy Post-Harry Potter Flick Trying to Do Something
Totally NewGoodbye, Harry Potter—hello, creepy scary horror thriller! Daniel Radcliffe will make his post-Potter movie debut in next year's The Woman In Black, a period flick in which he plays a lawyer who encounters the ghost of a not-so-happy woman out for revenge.

"He's so incredibly intelligent and incredibly bright," costar Janet McTeer told me last night at Palihouse in West Hollywood during a cocktail party for her new drama, Albert Nobbs. "He's trying to do something totally new to him—very, very, very talented." But will Potter fans accept him as anything but the bespectacled wizard? McTeer weighs in...

"I imagine some of them will like it, but I imagine some of them will want him to be Potter," she said. "For some it will take a bit of adjustment to realize he's not just Harry Potter but he's an actor who is now doing some fantastic things."

And talk about fantastic, McTeer is a likely Oscar contender for her role in Albert Nobbs. The movie stars Glenn Close (she also cowrote the screenplay with John Banville) in the title role as a woman living her life as a man in 19th-century Ireland. McTeer plays Hubert, the only person who knows her secret.

"I was doing a play in New York City and Glenn came to see it, and she came backstage afterwards and we had a nice chat," McTeer remembered. "She said, 'I've got this script. Can I send it to you?' And I said, 'Sure.' I read it and knew right away it was great."The two worked so well together, McTeer is guesting this season on Close's hit television series Damages. Will she be going head to head with Close's ruthless Patty Hewes? "Well, head to kneecap I suppose," McTeer cracked. "I'm very much taller than she is."

Daniel Radcliffe, 'How To Succeed' Cast Appearing In Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Daniel Radcliffe, 'How To Succeed' Cast Appearing In Macy's Thanksgiving Day ParadeIf you -- like me -- are upset because you never quite could get the timing right to go see Daniel Radcliffe perform live on Broadway in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," this should be some good news for you.

NBC is reporting that Radcliffe and the rest of the cast of the musical are going to be marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And, though it's not confirmed in the news release, my gut is telling me that at least one song and dance number from the show might be featured as well.

Sure, this is a little ironic considering the fact that Radcliffe is British and technically doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, but considering MTV News confirmed he's a certified New Yorker, I think he's all set. The parade airs on NBC on November 24 from 9am to noon. There's no word yet on when Radcliffe and the "How To Succeed" gang will be strutting through NYC, but even if you miss the live event, there will be a recap from 10pm to 11pm that night hosted by Matt Lauer.

Even if you aren't a fan of Radcliffe (for whatever crazy reason that may be), there's plenty more to give thanks for in the Macy's parade. Tim Burton has designed a new balloon -- a lonely balloon outsider named "B." -- that will be in the parade. Also kids movie favorites like "Diary of A Wimpy Kid," "Buzz Lightyear" and "Spider-Man" will be making return appearances. Artists like Cee Lo Green, Ingrid Michaelson, Mary J. Blige and Cobra Starship will also be performing, as well as the cast of.
