Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has apologised to fans for not attending this year's Comic-Con convention. Radcliffe, who has just turned 21, couldn't make the San Diego-based event because he was in Russia celebrating his birthday.

He told US newspaper the LA Times: 'I apologise to all the wishful thinkers for my disappointing non-presence. 'I've never done the Comic-Con thing and I really, really want to experience that.'

But the actor revealed that he had an incredible time in Russia.He said: 'It was fantastic, I was in St Petersburg for my birthday, which is probably the most beautiful, the most incredible, wonderful place I've ever been in my life.

'It really is absolutely amazing, I went with two friends and it was brilliant.' Talking about co-star Tom Felton’s recent revelation that he had cried while filming the last scenes of the wizard franchise, he said:

'You know what, I'd love to libel him [Felton] and call it a lie, but, darn, he's absolutely right. 'We all three of us – me, and Emma [Watson] – we just wept.' He added: 'And I've never seen [co-star] Rupert Grint cry – that was really weird.'

Harry Potter is heading back to Broadway. Daniel Radcliffe, who stars as the famous boy wizard in the ultra popular.

Harry Potter film series, will be returning to Broadway in the revival of the musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

The Frank Loesser musical, which tells the tale of a window washer whose discovery of the titular book leads him to the top of.

A huge conglomeration, originally opened in 1961, playing over 1,400 performances before closing in 1965. The musical was first revived.

On Broadway in 1995, starring Matthew Broderick in the leading role, and played for just over 500 performances.

Daniel Radcliffe exited Hogwarts for the last time in the spring, when he wrapped production on the final installment in the "Harry Potter" franchise.

And after a brief, nostalgic trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Orlando, the 20-year-old actor is solidifying plans to land on Broadway with a musical comedy.

"How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," in which Radcliffe stars, is set to begin previews on February 26 at the Al Hirschfeld Theater and will open on March 27, Variety reports.

Daniel Radcliffe can’t stop playing the new Lego Harry Potter video game. The 20-year-old actor shot to fame portraying the boy wizard in Harry Potter.

And the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001 aged just 11. He has reprised the role in five subsequent films and recently finished shooting the final two in the series.

Daniel has frequently spoken about his sadness at leaving the film franchise behind, and has gathered a large collection of merchandise and memorabilia to remind him of his time on set.

He was recently given a copy of the new Lego Harry Potter game, which sees the film’s characters transformed into Lego people.

He intended to give the game to a cousin, but decided to play it once first and quickly became addicted.

Daniel is now spending all his free time trying to complete it, and has been raving about it to anyone who will listen.

"Dan had a free version of the Lego Harry Potter game which he planned to give to a younger relative," a source close to the actor is quoted as saying. "Instead he's been playing himself. He loves it. He's almost completed it."

Emma Watson and Rupert Grint would outgrow him onscreen,  didn't get particularly worried because as long as Emma (Watson) and Rupert (Grint) weren't shooting up too quickly either, I'd look (fine). We'd all look relatively (the same height). It was all going to be okay," said Radcliffe.

"I was worried on a personal level because I wanted to be slightly taller than I am, ideally. But I've now accepted it. Basically, I came to the conclusion a while ago that you can either be really bitter about it or you can make loads of funny jokes. When I meet people now and they all say, 'God you're so much shorter than I expected!' I always say, 'No! I'm actually slightly further away than you think', which confuses them," he added.

When the competition is between two of the hottest guys of Hollywood, it is tough to make out who tops the other. With immense talent and hard working spree common in both, success and popularity is certain to follow them equally.

Well, the world seems to be divided over the debate on which franchisee is bigger- Harry Potter or Twilight saga? And Australia, certainly, favours the latter. The eighth (and last) Harry Potter flick wrapped production earlier this month, and the young stars all have post-Hogwarts plans.

They are actors, after all. At least one has been making good money standing still and looking hot for Burberry, and you should be able to catch them all on the big screen, bearing props that are definitely not wands:

For example, the lead actor in all eight of the Harry Potter movies, Daniel Radcliffe, is attached to do a war picture that does not involve Death Eaters but rather, simply, death.

He's signed on to play the lead, Paul Baumer, in a remake of the World War I picture All's Quiet on the Western Front. ("Daniel brings a vulnerability and innocence to Paul," producer Ian Stokell told Variety last month.)

With all of the wizardly drama going on in the Harry Potter film series, it's easy to forget that making hit movies can be totally fun. The Collector's Edition of LEGO Harry Potter includes a fun featurette of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and their castmates goofing around on the set of their hugely successful film franchise between takes. Nice to see that they don't have any problem unwinding—and it's amazing to be reminded of just how young they were when this all started.
