Daniel Radcliffe is All Quiet on the Western Front

Daniel Radcliffe will star in a remake of All Quiet on the Western Front. In the movie, Radcliffe will play Paul Baumer, a young German soldier in WWI fighting in the trenches of France. The original was released in 1930 and won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director for Lewis Milestone. Shooting will begin in 2012 after Radcliffe completes “How to Succeed Without Really Trying” on Broadway.
Radcliffe is best known for starring in the Harry Potter movies. The next movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, will be in theaters in November followed by Part 2 in summer 2011. The first Deathly Hallows theatrical trailer is due online tomorrow and in theaters next weekend with The Twilight Saga.
