Radcliffe - Gay rumors funnyHe's faced dementors, Lucius Malfoy and Lord Voldemort himself, so why should Harry Potter's alter ego, Daniel Radcliffe, worry about a stupid little rumor about his sexual orientation?

"If people want to say that, they can," he tells MTV about a rumor he is gay. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

"I'm not, I'm straight," says Radcliffe, who awed fans when he stripped down to the essence of his nakedness at the age of 17 to star.

In Peter Shaffer's Equus, which concerns a young man who has a religio-erotic relationship with horses. (Anything wrong with that?)

Radcliffe is amused by the level of discourse over his sexual orientation. "My favorite thing I saw was a guy on the Internet that said, 'Of course he's gay.

He's got a gay face,' which I thought was kind of an odd thing to say anyway," Radcliffe said, laughing. "A gay face? That's a very worrying thing, like they have sat at home [with] pictures of me next to other famous gay [folks]."

Friends on Marie Osmond's son
Grief continues to pour in from boldfacers days after the death of Marie Osmond's son.
Michael Blosil, 18, jumped to his death Friday from his eighth-floor apartment in Los Angeles.

Entertainment Tonight reporter Mary Hart yesterday said on CBS's Early Show that she found it painful to report on Blosil's suicide, given her close friendship with Osmond: "[It was] one of the most difficult stories that I have had to report in my 28 years" with ET, she said.

Hart noted that Blosil, one of Osmond's eight kids, "had struggled" for much of his young life. "He had been in and out of rehab. And, Marie, always looking for the silver lining, had always hoped for the best." She said that when she saw Blosil last month, "he was in excellent spirits." He was preparing to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in L.A.

Blosil friend Ruth Ann, for whom he left his suicide note, tells In Touch Weekly, "I am completely crushed and taken by complete surprise" by his death.

Blosil's roommate, Sean Srnik, also was shocked. "He was so jolly all of the time. He's probably the funniest, happiest guy I've ever met in my life," he said.

Blosil's autopsy report
E!Online says the L.A. coroner's office has concluded an autopsy on Blosil, but will not release results until toxicology reports are in. (It can take up to six weeks.)

Denise Richards to diss Sheen?
Charlie Sheen and wife, Brooke Mueller, who were embroiled in a violent argument on Christmas Day in Aspen, Colo., have said they want to reconcile. But prosecutors, who have charged Sheen for allegedly threatening Mueller with a knife, have other plans. TMZ says Sheen's ex-wife, Denise Richards, may be called to testify against him. Reportedly, authorities want to talk to Richards about a 2005 incident when Sheen allegedly became violent.

A rainy wedding
The City of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., was awash with rain - and joy - Saturday, when Bachelor-made lovers Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney were joined at an outdoor ceremony at the Terranea Resort. Usmagazine.com says guests were serenaded by American Idol alum Jason Castro, who grooved on "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." There was even a dove-releasing. Guests included Lost star Evangeline Lilly and Bachelorette couple Trista and Ryan Sutter.

Oscar report
Brittany Murphy's widower, Simon Monjack, tells E!News he's delighted to go to Sunday's Oscars. "I have been honored by an invitation . . . which I am very grateful for," he says. "They will include Brittany in their 'in memoriam' tribute along with some of the other gifted actors that died this year." Simon says he is fasting for a week so he can fit into his tux.
Meanwhile, ABC yesterday announced that its Oscars Red Carpet . . . 2010 pre-show show will be hosted by The View's Sherri Shepherd, Entertainment Weekly managing editor Jess Cagle and Dancing With the Stars alum Kathy Ireland. A slew of new presenters also have been announced: Charlize Theron, Barbra Streisand, Kathy Bates, Robert Downey Jr., Queen Latifah, Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta.

Tidbits 'n' pieces
USA Today reports that Miss America - that most revered of all talent shows - has become homeless. TLC has axed the broadcast after three years.
Blame Marcia and Jan Brady for the cancellation of a planned Brady Bunch reunion. RadarOnline.com says the show's cast was to appear tomorrow on "one of the network morning shows," but the event was scrapped when Maureen McCormick (Marcia) and Eve Plumb (Jan) realized they were going to share the same air. (Doh!) Reportedly, they have been feuding for decades.
