Kelly Clarkson Joins 'Idol Gives Back'

season one's "American Idol" winner -- will take to the "Idol" stage, along with HUGH GRANT, KEIRA KNIGHTLEY, FOREST WHITAKER, HELENA BONHAM CARTER, DANIEL RADCLIFFE, TERI HATCHER and Mr. Bean (ROWAN ATKINSON), all of whom will lend their considerable talents to "Idol Gives Back," airing Tuesday, April 24 and Wednesday, April 25 at 8 p.m. on FOX."Idol Gives Back" will raise funds and awareness for organizations that provide relief programs to help children in extreme poverty in America and Africa.

Previously announced talent for the fundraiser are GWEN STEFANI, JOSH GROBAN, PINK, MICHAEL BUBLÉ, ANNIE LENNOX, IL DIVO and BORAT SAGDIYEV (aka SACHA BARON COHEN).On the Tuesday night one-hour show, the Top Six will perform songs that fall into the "life anthems" category. Then, viewers will vote as usual. But, on this special night, for every vote cast, sponsors will donate money to the charity.

On Wednesday, the two-hour special results show will be a star-studded evening featuring live performances from the "Idol" stage and from the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Viewers will be able to make their own donations via toll-free pledge lines and the Internet.

Corporate sponsors for the fundraiser consist of News Corporation, Ford, Coca-Cola and AT&T. Ford will contribute by producing a very special music video, which will have a sneak peek on April 25. Then the entire video will be available for download after the show. One hundred percent of the money generated will be contributed to "Idol Gives Back."
