Joining 'Idol Gives Back'

The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, along with Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Forest Whitaker, Helena Bonham Carter, Daniel Radcliffe, Teri Hatcher and Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) have been added to the bill for "Idol Gives Back," a two-night special airing on April 24-25.The show will raise awareness and funds for organizations that provide relief programs to help children and young people in extreme poverty in America and Africa.These celebrities join previously announced talent including Gwen Stefani, Josh Groban, Pink, Michael Buble, Annie Lennox, Il Divo and Borat Sagdiyev.On Tuesday, April 24, the Top 6 finalists will sing songs that can be considered "life anthems." In keeping with the "Idol Gives Back" theme, all the songs performed will be about compassion and hope.
After the performance show, viewers will vote for their favorite contestants, as usual. But for every vote cast on this particular night, sponsors like Ford, Coca-Cola and AT&T will donate money to charity.The special two-hour results show on Wednesday, April 25 will be a star-studded evening featuring performances from the "American Idol" stage as well as Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Viewers will be able to make their own donations via toll-free pledge lines and the Internet.

That american idol last night made my cry all those kids go through a realy tough time and it was just realy sad. So i think what American Idol did was great and all the stars that participated that was the best hting you could do so thanks.
